假如我要对一个div在IE7中宽为200px，在IE6中宽180px，则：
div { width:200px !important; }
div { width:180px; }
!important：表示某条属性（声明）具体最高的优化级，所以虽然看起来下面的把上方的属性覆盖了，但真正由于上面度200的优化级最高，所以最后div的宽还是200px
!important：IE7及以上、Firefox都支持，但IE6不支持，所以下面的属性会把上面的覆盖，即在IE6宽显示为180px
设置此项主要的目的就是为了达到在各种及各版本的浏览器之间兼容，这里如果考虑周全的话还需对IE7及FF进行区别了
!important 表示高优先级。
IE6浏览器不认识 !important 。
举例：
正常情况下，写在下面的样式优先级高于上面的样式
demo1{
color:red;
color:green; /*绿色的优先级高于红色，所有浏览器都会显示绿色*/
}
加了!important 那么它的优先级会比较高，ie6比较傻，不认识。
demo2{
color:red !important; /*除了ie6，其他浏览器会认为红色优先级高，显示红色字体*/
color:green; /*ie6浏览器则顺序读取css所以显示绿色*/
}
但是注意，IE6不认识!important的优先级，但并不代表IE6不认识带!important的样式属性。
demo3{
color:red;
color:green !important; /*包括IE6，所有浏览器都显示绿色字体，ie6只是不认识优先级罢了*/
二、如何使样式CSS不被覆盖important？
一般直接问important的样式不被覆盖，这样是误解的，因为解决办法也需要使用important
解决办法一:
div{font-size:100px!important;}
div{font-size:50px!important;}
这样下面的样式就覆盖了上面的样式，使第一个样式失效
解决办法二:
<div >123456</div>
行内样式级别大于，外部样式，所以这样也可以去除以前设置的important的样式。
其他的方式，我还真没有找到能可以代替的办法，希望我的回答对你有所帮助！！！
三、it important 和it is important 的不同？
要放在句子中具体分析
It is important to do sth.
It is important that从句(从句中用should加动词原形，表虚拟，委婉提出意见)
以上两个结构中的It都是形式主语 真正的主语是后面的不定式和that从句，
It is important to master English.
It is important that we should master English.
一下句子中的it则是当形式宾语，通常会跟在think suggestd等词语后面，真正的宾语是动词不定式。

派生词是importance，中文意思是n. 重要，重要性；傲慢；名望

六、it important to do和it is important to do怎么区分？
1、it important to do sth 前面要加表示心理状态的动词，it作改动词的宾语，important 是宾语补足语，同时it=to do sth。如： The workmen think it very important to comply with the safety regulations. 工人们认为遵守安全规则很重要了。
2、It is important to do sth. 表示做某事是很重要的，it 是形式主语，to do sth是真正的主语。如： It is important for us to learn English. 对我们来说学习英语很重要。 另外，补充一条其他用法给你参考吧，呵呵
3、important to doing sth. to 是介词，doing是动名词，对于……来说很重要，主语是be 前面的那个主语，而不是doing。例句： Exercise is important to learning English. 练习对学英语有很大帮助。 或者翻译为：练习对学英语很重要。
